I have been involved in Internet Advertising since 1997 when I began working for the Richmond Times Dispatch as Internet Advertising Sales Manager. Back then most people didn’t even have web sites, so our team began designing basic web sites for businesses. As the operation grew, we created more complex sites and more robust promotions around them that often included online, newspaper and television components.
Over the years I have worked with hundreds of businesses to develop innovative ideas for online marketing. I’ve helped businesses transition from brick and mortar operations to online enterprises. I’ve developed programs and designed web applications that streamline businesses and create new channels for communicating with customers.
I consider myself a professional salesperson. Some people like to compliment me by saying I could sell ice to an Eskimo, but I actually take that as an insult. A professional salesperson would never sell ice to an Eskimo because it is something they don’t need. As a professional, I pride myself on understanding the needs of my clients and catering to those needs. This carries over into the recommendations I make to my consulting clients, and trickles down to the customers of those clients.
I am passionate about technology and am excited by the changes it is affecting on business today. I am always connected and stay on top of new advances in gadgetry. I look forward to seeing what the future holds.
